Staying focused on the Positives

As a client of mine said recently, "it takes work to stay positive".  Let's discuss the best ways to keep yourself focused on the positives in your life.

    Someone said to me once, "what happened 5 minutes ago no longer matters, and what will happen 5 minutes from now doesn't matter yet." That keeps me in the present. The other thing I do is to be really present when I am having a really good time (it can be as simple as watching a thunderstorm, which I love to do), meditate on those images and bring them back to your mind when you are feeling blue.

    One of the best ways to stay positive is to focus on all the things we have to be grateful for. There are so many that we could probably write for a day in a gratitude journal and still not get them all written in. The more we are grateful and thankful for things the more thankful thing will come into our lives. BE HAPPY!

      I totally agree. I try to do my 'High Five' practice, where I write down five things from yesterday I'm happy about. Always helps me to get my positive focus back.
