Happy Hour at Ponte Vecchio

Many of you asked for a Happy Hour during the holidays. I have spoken with the manager at Ponte Vecchio and they look forward to having us join them for their Happy Hour. I was here for dinner recently and had a wonderful time. The drinks are potent, and the food and the view is divine!

From the Happy Hour Guide:
Drinks and appetizer deals are great. But, ultimately, is it really a deal if you have to cram into some dark bar area during happy hour? This downtown restaurant not only offers great drink-and-food deals, it also boasts an airy vibe and a snazzy view of downtown. The windows overlook the Flats; the mirrors reflect Terminal Tower. That's not to say you won't focus on the sleek bar. Or the immaculately adorned (and very tasty) Caprese Salad ($5). It's one of many tip-top treats during Ponte Vecchio happy hour, 5 to 7 p.m. daily. Bruschetta? $3. A lip-smacking citrus splash cocktail? $5. And that view? Priceless. HAPPY FACTOR: Five olives (out of five)

Regarding the unpaid bills - When we were there, the wait staff had asked for names and with each order and round asked for that name to assign the cost. They took credit cards and returned them to the owners when they paid. The names of the people who did not pay, should be readily available. I can only imagine how frustrating and costly this is for Jill and Cheri.

This was my first time there and I loved it. Beautiful scenery and the staff was first rate and I enjoyed the cabernet that was served. Thanks for pulling this together - great way to meet so many new friends - Dave, Al and Neal!

The road you want off of W. 25 is directly across from the Route 2 entrance ramp. It is called Vermont and becomes Superior Viaduct. St. Malachi is on corner. When you turn, go straight. You will come to fancy gate that. Is over the road. Drive through this gate and keep driving. The restaurant is at the end of this parking area. Parking will be very tight so you'll probably have to turn around and drive back to park.

Debbie Z...Not sure where you are coming from..but go north on W25th St, past the Detroit/Superior Bridge...turn right at the next street which is Vermont...it will be on the left

I was just here and was amazed to see a place like this in Cleveland -- I consider it to be quite a discovery.
