Happy Hour at the Pier W from 4 to 7 pm on September 20

  • Sep 20, 2011 · 4:00 PM

pierw.JPG John Petkovic, The Plain Dealer Whether sipping on a refreshing mojito or a pomegranate martini you will enjoy happy hour and the cool lighting at the bar at Pier W in Lakewood.

Pier W

12700 Lake Ave., Lakewood

[masked]

Hours: 4-7 p.m. Sunday-Friday

Eat like a king, walk out like a pauper. That's how most upscale joints make me feel. Not Pier W, no way. Happy Hour with half-off appetizers and discounted drinks at this Lakewood restaurant made my tummy happy and my wallet happier. The Angus Reserve Sliders ($5) -- with brioche, cheddar cheese, aioli and potato croquettes -- are the antithesis of White Castle. Mmm, and the Calamari Fritti ($5) is, well, mmm. The mojito ($5.25) inspired my eyes to stare at the lake and dream of summer. Too bad the day was overcast and gray. The elegant, deep-hued, lighted bar made my eyes wander back. Man, since when is snazzy so affordable? Only $15 and change, woohoo. -- John Petkovic

Fun time, glad I came early as people didn't stay long this time, which is unusual ;o)

Even though Pier W only let us have 30 people it was still a fantastic time. Thank you Cheri great job again. Thank you Sam for the glass of wine and Metz for my B-Day desserts! You guys are awesome.

Are these specials offered to the general public or just our Meet Up group?

Three Birds will be used in the near future. Check the list to see who cancels for this. At the request of Pier W, they have asked for thirty people only at a time. We can do another but 30 is no longer big enough for this group.

Cynthia, Chuck check the list just before the happy hour, there are a few that really are no shows a lot of the time. Keep watching, I believe this Happy hour is worth it! Remember it is always on going, we could plan to go on another day!

Cheri, I noticed someone just got into this so someone might have cancelled out. Can you put me in as a "yes" if someone cancels again? Thanks!

No waiting list was created for this as Pier W was very specific that they could only handle 30 people. Keep an eye on this meetup and I will be checking in to make sure everyone is coming.
