In light of the strong response to the "religion" and other similar topic, I thought about having a monthly meeting on or around such topics. Please indicate how likely you are attend a group with one of the following titles (10 being most likely):

Group for like-minded people who like discussing the big and the hard questions. We will always be seeking the truth. We will talk about things like the truth, theology, philosophy, science, morality, and spirituality.
Everyone is welcome. Don't care if you're a Buddhist, Communist, Materialist, Christian, Atheist, Mentalist, Seeker, Agnostic, Freethinker, Skeptic, Humanist, Heretic, Do-gooder, Scientist, Philosopher, Doubter, Faithhealer, or anything else. All are welcome. Indeed diversity of thought is highly desired.
The group will involve fun and intense discussions like you have with good friends in a coffee shop. Indeed, we will often meet in a coffee shop or something like that. And in south or southwest Austin.
Examples of some the questions that we might discuss include: What is truth? Reality? Is the material universe all that there is? Is anything transcendent? What is beauty? Evolution? Is there a God? If so, what is his/her nature? Can we even know if there is a God? Why does a round pizza come in a square box? Is agnosticism the only rational choice? Did Jesus Christ exist? If there is a God, why is the world so messed up? Why is logic logical? Infinite multiple universes? Dark matter/energy? Are all religions valid? Zombies? How important does a person have to be before they are considered assassinated instead of just murdered?
We have three core rules:
1. Mutual respect for each other at all times
2. Always seek the truth no matter where that leads
3. Stay on topic
Note that this is not a group for those that KNOW that they have the answers to the hard questions. Rather, this is a group for those that have hard questions, like to ponder possible answers to such questions, and/or want to see how their possible answers stand up to some hard scrutiny.
