history vs geography

Geography is the place where history happens. When we are just getting to know someone we ask them abut their history and one of the first questions we ask is, "Where are you from?" or "Where do you live?' We have a desire to place them in both time and place.

The same happens when we are told about something happening. We ask, "Where did this happen?" and we ask "When did this happen?"

Even our stories begin with a time and place setting, i.e. A long time ago in a galaxy far far away....

Are environment makes us who we are to some extent. Our history, and our geograohy: where we have lived, the things we have experienced, the things we have done, where we live now, what we are doing and are going to do, these make up the person we are today. The study of where we come from both our history and our geography determines how we use these places and experiences, determines who we will become and where we will go. Each moment is important, every action we take, word we speak creates an impact that ripples beyond our sight and knowledge.

What piece of geography will you focus on? Need to learn more? yakko can help,

Interesting to see the different foods and stories behind them, which came in as "history" and which "geography" and which had both.

I have been debating but there is another Meetup I really want to attend, and I won't be able to get to Rita's by 7pm. Pity - because I had such a PERFECT idea for the theme!
