This is an exploratory hike (meaning first time for me). This is about an 8.5 mile loop hike starting at the Park & Ride at Spencer Ave Exit Park & Ride. There is about 1200 elevation gain comprise of 2 "long" hills climbs and 2 "short" hills climbs. The first and one of the "short" hills climbs will be probably be the steepest (which will also come down at the end) with about 300 elevation gain for the first quarter mile.
Some of the trail we will be on include Rodeo Valley, Mikow, Old Springs, and Marincello. We will be hiking through Tennessee Valley area and this will be the only bathrooms available on this hike. No bathrooms at trail head.
This will be about 3 1/2 to 4 1/2 hours hike depending on the pace of the group. Would like to keep it a moderate pace. Here is a link to map created of the route which also includes elevations at the bottom: Marin Headlands - Morning Sun Loop
