Let's meetup and plan out specifics for the upcoming Winter Wonderland Trip. As the trip approaches, let's nail down some logistics such as carpools, trail meeting destinations, and campsite plans. We'll take a look at some weather reports to get a better idea of what we'll be facing. We'll also sit down with the map and plan our specific route(s). We can come up with a food plan, and also an updated group supply list. For those of you that have camped in the winter before, please bring a list of what clothing you'd normally bring for such a trip…so those who haven't winter backpacked before can have a frame of reference. I will provide some examples of clothing I think is necessary. If you have any questions about specific clothing, please bring it with you! The veterans amongst us can help narrow down a packable collection for you.
As with previous planning sessions…I would ask that this meetup be reserved for only those planning on going on the trip. And I would also like to ask those members that ARE planning on going to make this meetup. Please let me know ahead of time if you are unable to make this meetup, but are still planning on attending the trip…exact numbers are important for this. Also, please let me know if you are willing to drive and if so, how many people can fit in your car/truck.
