This is a Co-Meetup with the NEOH backpacking Club.
For this trip, we will be hiking a ten-mile loop in the Clear Creek Sate Forest (PA) Kennerdell tract. The terrain is fairly easy. But we will have two good-sized hills. They aren’t very long, but they are steep enough to get your heart pumping!

Basic itinerary Saturday May 10, 2014 (6 miles): We will meet at the Five Points parking lot at around 1000. From the parking lot, we will follow a series of interconnecting trails southeast to Dennison Run. From Dennison Run we will head uphill to the Kennerdell overlook. After the overlook we will head back downhill to the Dennison Run trail, and follow it out to the River trail. Then we follow the river trail north to Danner Camp. Sunday May 11, 2014 (4 miles): I’d like to hit the trail around by 9am. (But if no one is in a hurry I’m ok with a lazy morning!) From Danner camp, we will take the Pipeline trail up the hill and back out to the cars.
This trip is "self-sustained" (ie. no community food option; you provide your own food, gear, and transportation). Please contact Chris Rearick with any questions.
