An English-language version of the French comedic farce "Paradise Hotel" is playing at the University of Houston (main campus) this Thursday through Sunday:

Wortham Theatre, at Cynthia Woods Mitchell Center for the Performing Arts (Cullen Street and Elgin Street Houston, TX 77204)

The University of Houston School of Theatre & Dance presents an English version of George Feydeau's classic 1894 French bedroom farce Paradise Hotel. This door-slamming physical comedy follows a bungling adulterer and his would-be mistress whose amorous plans are constantly interrupted by the hotel's oddball staff and guests, including a lascivious maid, the mistress's husband and a thick-headed friend of the adulterer (and his four beautiful daughters). Feydeau is considered by many to be the grandmaster of farce for his impeccable pacing, ridiculous situations, crazy characters and outrageous and carefully choreographed physical comedy.
