This is a group aimed at all motorcyclists in the Polk County area. Especially welcome are riders looking for a chance to ride with others in the area. The focus of this group is on Rides. Rides to Eat (RTE) are a favorite choice. The riding style incorporates some sport riding with cruising. This is possible by having an "A Group" that rides just minutes ahead of the "B Group." Each group will ideally be small enough to get through intersections. Those who wish to go slower then their group will then be collected by the group behind them. A "C Group" is also possible.
Want to go slower than anyone else? Have at it. Just remember that we post the ride info, route map, destination, address, telephone number, and using them to get to the destination is your responsibility. Other than operating your bike for you, (don't tempt me lol) there's not much more we can do to make this an easy and pleasurable ride. Nobody is left behind. But if you're the only one who can't keep up, can't use a map, or a GPS, and can't follow directions, then please understand that it's you who can't keep up. And you will then be responsible for finding your own way.
Most rides begin around 10:00 am and are typically planned to be completed by 2:00 pm depending on the destination. Gathering at my house the night before to enjoy a good ole fashioned bonfire is typical. If it's not already planned and you want to burn something, speak up. Bonfires are a natural focal point that dates back to caveman days. Rides are typically scheduled once per month. If this interests you then give us a try!
Disclaimer: Riding motorcycles is inherently dangerous. So is crossing the road and putting on pants. Do so at your own risk. If you're the kind of guy who falls out of bed then get a lower mattress so it will hurt less. Bring fresh underwear in case you have an accident. Umbrellas are useful only in the rain. I didn't make you crash. You have your own license. And yes accidents are your own fault. I have no money so suing me will cost you more than it will me. If you don't have a motorcycle license, the other biker group will welcome you with open arms but we will not. Follow all laws. Break laws at your own risk. Crashes are not my fault. I'm not leading the group. You lead yourself. Riding in a group is optional. Nobody told you you had to do this. Membership and riding in groups is at your own risk, not mine. Your heirs, successors, dependents, minors at home, and financially interested romantic partners are hereby notified that your attendance, gathering, riding with, leading, following, participating, being a part of, colliding with, or being injured by any person, thing, animal, vegetable, or mineral, is not my fault, responsibility, liability, or interest. I/we/he/she did not make you do it. Get Met, It Pays. I don't.
