From the restaurant's website:
"TUMBAO (toom-bow), opened in November of 2007, named in tribute to the 'CONGA', or more properly the 'TUMBADORA'. We specialize in traditional Puerto Rican and Caribbean inspired plates with a modern twist. Our food is prepared with love and 'Sabor de Campo' just like our grandmas intended it, and made to order. Our Chef's bring years of culinary experience and 'recites criollas' to create unique plates that will satisfy any palate and allow you to experience some of our special cooking techniques and food combinations. In the evenings, get loose and enjoy some Dominoes (Monday), Latin Jazz (Thursday), Old School House music (Fridays) and Salsa & Merengue (Saturday)."
The restaurant is a Chicago Cab Fare recommendation. Since we have a fairly large party, this will be a family-style dinner. The cost of food will be split evenly regardless of consumption.
