NYIC EXCURSION TRIP TO:IRELAND'S GREAT HUNGER MUSEUM (Quinnipac University, CT)

Join in on New York Irish Center spring excursion trip to see Ireland's Great Hunger Museum on Saturday April 20th. The museum is beautifully appointed and offers much by the way of detail through artwork, sculpture, films and stories about the Great Famine.

NYIC EXCURSION TO IRELAND’S GREAT HUNGER MUSEUM

We are a few days away from the New York Irish Center's Excursion to Ireland's Great Hunger Museum, organized in conjunction with the Irish / British Genealogy Group.

In preparation for the Saturday ahead please find some additional information:

DEPARTURE TIME & LOCATION

The coach will depart from 9:30am sharp from the New York Irish Center, located in Long Island City.  We will start the boarding process by 9:15am so please aim to be at the Center by 9:00am.  There will be coffee and tea brewed and a great welcome waiting!  The New York Irish Center is located at 1040 Jackson Ave  Long Island City, NY 11101.  The phone number is 718.482.0909.

ITINERARY

9:30am - Departure from New York Irish Center

11:30am - Estimated arrival to Ireland's Great Hunger Museum & commencement of tour and visit

1:00pm - Depart museum for Playwright Pub for lunch

1:15pm - Estimated arrival to Playwright Pub

2:45pm - Depart Playwright Pub for return to New York Irish Center

4:45pm - Estimated arrival to New York Irish Center

LUNCH

A buffet lunch (including vegetarian option) will be provided along with coffee, tea and soda.  The cost of the lunch plus tax and tip is included within the ticket price.  Any alcoholic beverages or other purchases are to be paid for separately.

COACH BUS

We will be on a 49 seat coach bus that will have both wifi and a bathroom facility.  Food and beverages are not permitted on the coach, with the exception of water bottles.  Should food and beverage be brought onto the coach, the coach company will issue a fine of $100!  So drink up at the Center and at lunch and please only bring a water bottle with you.
