5TH ANNIVERSARY CELEBRATION OF THE IRISH/BRITISH GENEALOGY GROUP!

An incredible 5 years on, and 269 members (as of today's date) I'm thrilled to celebrate this milestone. I will be on the lookout for any special events/talks we can attach to potentially beforehand but if not then it will be a gathering over lunch and will include highlights on Irish/British Genealogy resources, updates, etc. Hope to see both new and multi year members!

I selected Molly's as it dates back to the 1800s so a bit of history, a bit of Irish and hoping a good lot of fun!  With any luck we may have one of the owners share some history.

Thanks everyone for all your kind comments. As I said it wouldn't be the group it is without your support and involvement. Here's to another great year ahead! Remember to email me with any ideas you may have for meetups. I have some I'm still working on but new ideas always welcome!

Enjoyed discovering some folks I had met before at other Irish venues as well as meeting new folks interested in Ireland and Irish and family history. Logistically a little difficult to engage in conversation with folks at other tables but Bridget was extremely gracious in making sure we were all officially introduced. Would welcome the opportunity to continue the conversations or begin new ones.

A mixed experience...I wish more people had come but glad I got to connect with those I spoke to!

What a great outing....and just in time for St. Patrick's Day. The food (Irish Breakfast complete with blood pudding on my part) was very good and the company and conversation were excellent. It was great to meet many other members of the group and share genealogical experiences with them for several very relaxing hours. Thanks again, Bridget, for organizing this get together.

I banged up my knee pretty well (shoveling snow) and tore a ligament! I'm hobbling around too much so regretfully am not going to come in to NYC today. Have a great time and I look forward to meeting every one soon.

Pound & Pence on Liberty Street, or O'Hara's on Cedar St (right across from the WTC Memorial) are 2 places to consider.
