TALK ON "CHARITY AND THE GREAT HUNGER IN IRELAND: THE KINDNESS OF STRANGERS"

Join in on Prof. Christine Kinealy's talk, the newly appointed director of the new Ireland's Great Hunger Institute at Quinnipiac University. For those that may have heard her speak before she has extensive knowledge on the Famine and has written a number of books. For this session you can simply RSVP here and I will then advise NYU Glucksman Ireland House of the numbers. Following the talks there is always a light reception and a great chance to connect with the speaker and guests.

If you are new to this group I do a lookout for new members and Anne Solari the program coordinator (and may be at the check in desk) can hunt me down.

Hope to see you there!

Sorry won't be able to attend. Unexpected out of town company arrived and I was't aware I was off the wait list until too late. Sorry to miss this presentation.

Unfortunately I will not be able to make this presentation, as I will still be in Florida, until the end of May, keeping my bones warm. I do hope to make other presentations, you will have scheduled, for May onward. I really wish could be there for this lecture on the devastation that was thrust upon Ireland, and the lives of our ancestors, by their oppressors.
