On Saturday, February 18, at 11 a.m., the Irish Family History Forum will present professional genealogist Laura Congleton. Congleton will discuss the websites Fold3 (fold3.com) and Internet Archive (archive.org). The meeting will be held at the Bethpage Public Library, 47 Powell Avenue, Bethpage, NY.

Fold3 specializes in military records, but also includes census records, city directories, and other resources. Internet Archive offers a digital library of Internet sites and other cultural artifacts in digital form. A demonstration of both websites will be included in the talk.

Laura Congleton has more than 30 years of experience in family history research. She specializes in Civil War research, the preparation of lineage society applications, and other topics. In addition, she is one of the expert genealogists on Ancestry's Expert Connect service.

The lecture will be preceded by a “help session” at 10 a.m. for those researching their Irish roots.
