The collapse of critical infrastructures, denial of vital virtual services or computers, and even remote killing apocalyptic scenarios in a science fiction film; instead, these are possible cyber attacks that could cripple the economy, security systems, and daily life.The lecture will be discussing the transition from information security to cyber security, concerned with protecting processes controlled by computers and strategies in defending against attacks.

I am the cybersecurity advisor to the National Research and Development Council, also a senior research at the Yuval Ne'eman Workshop for Science, Technology and Security at the Tel Aviv University. I specialize in security for space and cyberspace. In 2010 I was a member of the President of Israel's Committee on the Israeli National Space Program, where I co-authored the national civilian space policy. In 2011 I served as Secretary of the Prime Minister's Cyber Initiative Task Force that spearheaded the government resolution on establishing the National Cyber Directorate.
My multidisciplinary experience and knowledge has guided me to co-found and act the the ceo Excyber Ltd. - a strategic cybersecurity consulting company. Excyber is based on unique approach to deal with growing cyber-threats and understanding of the attacker mind-set.
