Stand up and refuse to be a victim! In this special seminar, our goal is to provide women with the physical and mental ability to protect themselves and their loved ones. We will cover technical and tactical solutions to some common problems women may face as well as practice ways to avoid, prevent, and deescalate in order to avoid having to get hands-on. It’s a great opportunity to learn some “soft” skills as well as arm yourself with the techniques and principles of Krav Maga for when fighting is no longer an option.
Our Expert Level KMG instructor, Nick Masi, and the First Defense team will cover various situations women commonly encounter and how to defend against them. Topics will include:
-Prevention/De-escalation/using your voice
-Releases from grabs/holds/chokes
-Use of common objects for self defense
-Defenses on the ground
-Protecting a friend or family member
While applicable to all women, this workshop will be particularly useful for high school and college students. Send your loved one off to college with a little piece of mind knowing that they have learned some basic skills to protect themselves should something happen while they’re away.
We are limiting attendance to 30 participants. (Please note that the RSVP count on meetup.com does not reflect the full participation numbers. There are other avenues for individuals to register that are not reflected in meetup.)
All participants will receive a gift box that will include a number of items useful for self-defense as well as some special surprises.
