So, we're able to use the White Birch location again this week. We'll have regular class on Thursday, Feb. 25th at 6pm.
There will be another intro class coming up in Alexandria soon. I should be able to send you a finalized date and time in next week's email.
I've posted a flyer in the meetup space for a great training opportunity. It's a Touring & Training session in Israel. I've talked with a few guys who have attended in the past & they said it was an amazing experience. It's in May, so it might be a little short notice to plan a trip to Israel. They do this event every year, though, so maybe we can plan a group trip in 2011?
Learn and practice practical self-defense and striking skills. Krav Maga is known for its use of instinctual movements and reality-based drills and scenarios.
The basic premise of Krav Maga is "don't get hurt." This means out on the street as well as in the training hall. We take care of our partners during training and while we try to make training as realistic as possible, we do so with concern for their safety.
There is balance in our training and we acknowledge that developing our mental capabilities is just as important as developing our physical techniques. Controlling emotions, dealing with stress, and improving our physical techniques are all parts that make up the whole of the Krav Maga system.
