Good Morning Ladies
This saturday we will meet at Kiwanis park at 6:15 am with wheels down at 6:30am. The ride will be an out and back ride. What makes this ride: it is as flat as arizona can offer with a great bike lane all the way to Ellsworth. both Groups will travel the same road except the short course will turn around at the 10 mile mark and head back to the start.
Bring some money to purchase a water and or supplies along the ride. We will stop at the circle k or gas stations along the course.
In order to have a good ride during the summer time in Arizona, I would strongly suggest: 2 thermal water bottles, sun screen, cooling scraf and or arm coolers..you can purchase these items at your local bike shop or the Big 5.
I also suggest very strongly that you take care of your skin by using a good moisturizer cream/loation. That you drink plenty of water(at least 1.5 to 2 gallons a day) remember you live in a desert, and to drink some form of electrolyte drink such as gatorade or Power Aide. Cut back on your Soda intake.
Before any ride have a good dinner and a light breakfast, such as: peanut butter toast, egg and cheese sandwitch, etc. I would stayaway from oatmeal unless you eat it 2hr before the ride.
start drinking today, fill your water bottles 1/2 way and place them in the freezer on a slant.. top them off the morning of the ride.
PS..For the Ladies that are riding for Multiple Sclorisis Charlie will be leading a ride on sunday. The ride will be Seven Springs. posted.
