Film Me Baby !

Another new one.....and a challenge, too...!! So, unlike our last meetup where we could shoot all we wanted, this time, we're going to take a step back in time and add a new wrinkle. We'll meet up at Hanif's studio. Everyone will get final instructions, and encouragement. Then, you'll take one picture of your (very handsome) organizer. Or you can take one of me. Then, you are out the door....but.....here's the rub.........you only get 12 shots (remember the film days?). It's the honor system to not delete but when you're done, return to the studio. Now, the additional fun begins.....each of you will need to shoot this one in jpg....we'll take your memory card, and download it for viewing. Then, we'll all take a look the images (completely blind, by the way), and talk about them. We will most likely take up a collection (maybe $5.00 for a food run....pizza most likely. Bring your camera, a tripod if you think you will use it, a speedlight if you want. But, the big rule is.......you only get 12 shots ! !

Many thanks to all attendees....I really enjoyed it......and, even though I set it up......still had to really open my eyes and look....and plan.
All of the images I saw were truly creative.....and I could tell you all had the spirit of the meetup.....now, let's learn to use that every time we pick up a camera....

Another one is in the works....watch the meetup space..!!

Hey, guys, it is storming and it looks like a couple of hours more coming our way. So I decided it pull out rather than drive up to Lakeland and the shoot be canceled.

The map shows studio in the middle of the street. Is it in the parking ramp or the hotel?

If we are leaving the studio, and only get 12 shots, I am wondering what are we photographing for our 12 shots. Am I missing something here.

Yep....you can shoot any subject at all....you just can ONLY shoot out a single roll of film....12 images..!
