thanks and congrats to all those who did the mud run, it was so much fun!
Awesome race! I'm glad I got to meet all of you.
great meeting you also Annicca! Namaste.
Here is a map showing the location of the Westin Lake Las Vegas resort and the presumed location of the Warrior Dash at the very end of Montelago Rd. It is 1.1 miles from the Westin's front door to the event location. I can walk 1.1 miles each way to save $20 parking! http://mapq.st/WxUy7h

Thanks Mike. Planning to be arrive at the parking by about 7:30am to start check in by 8. The 1 mile walk will be a good warm-up. Can't miss my shirt! And I will look out for you.
I just found out Warrior Dash is charging $20 per car for parking. I am going to park at the Westin Lake Las Vegas Resort parking garage and run the short distance to the Warrior Dash venue. If you want to save $20, do not follow the driving directions in your event email you received today. Instead follow the signs to the Westin self parking

Hey kids - what's the consensus? Tomorrow is the last day I can go shopping, then I will be out of town until the event. NOT wearing speedos- I look better butt nekkid than I do in spandex! And they won't let us race nekkid :-(

How about hot pink speedos defenitely won't be able to mistake anyone that is in the group

and for the girls??
I'm in the 10:00 am wave, but I'll get there early to meet up with everyone and maybe sneak into the 9 am wave. :)
How about we just choose an odd color T-shirt that we can pick up anywhere - bright red, lime green, hunter orange, flourescent yellow, etc.? Seems logistically easier and less expensive since we are only a week out ...

How about we just ductape Ad-Fit to The back of whatever teeshirt that we are wearing?
I'm all for crashing the 9am wave
I just emailed all Warrior Dash participants for input on when and how to meetup before the event, and to what we could wear to identify ourselves as part of Meetup. Also a suggestion that we all try to crash the 9AM wave rather than start at all different times. HMU with ur feedback and questions.
1st time posting. Joined the group back in July, haven't come out to any events yet though. -I got 10 co-workers to join the 12:00pm heat with me, thank you GroupOn. Anyone in this group going to wear something distinguishing to recognize each other?

hiya Brad! Welcome to the meetup and congrats on jumping onto the Warrior Dash event. I am in an early wave, so I will miss you and your group ;-( I have done about a half dozen mud/endurance/obstacle events so far and matching shirts seems to work out really well. Ones that have team or event specific wording or graphics work the best, but obviously there is some advance planning, bankrolling involved. Matching Ts in a distinct color that you can get for cheap at a drug or variety store with lettering or graphics courtesy of Sharpie are the quick and easy way to go. You can mark them up and sell them at the event or at your workplace, and any unused ones can be returned to the store after the event. HMU if you have any other questions. Mike Feldman
Just registered and 1130 is the earliest open wave

well u will miss our wave but u will have a hella good time for $19 less than i paid last year! rock on Kit!
0 · September 23, 2012
i am in the 9am wave as are several others in our groupi suggest wearing snug fitting but lightweight gloves for some of the obstacles that can be slippery or rough on the handsi like to race in shorts for speed and mobility but minor scrapes, scuffs, tiny cuts, bruises come with the exposed territory, so if you are worried about how nice your legs will look on monday, better wear pants <g>anything else HMU

I have now signed up for the 9am start time!! I look forward to seeing everyone there!!
This will be FUN!! I am new to the world of running and I did not think running long distance on flat surface in the desert I grew up in sounded too fun so I quit smoking in Jan and signed up to do the Devil Dash! It was a blast but I couldn't get anyone to do it with me so I had to run it alone!
