House Game Night Party!

And we're on!!!

It's a House Game Night!

Bring your favorite games, your awesome self, and your A-game for some serious competition!

Please bring a dish to share (something tasty like a dinner appetizer). Water, soft drinks, utensils, paper products, etc. provided by your hostess. Feel free to contribute a meetup dollar to help cover the purchase of supplies. Also feel free you BYOAB.

My place is pretty small so I have to limit attendance to eight unless someone has a folding table and chairs we can use to add four more. Let me know!

Directions will be emailed to the RSVP list before the event, but so you have a general idea, I am on the east side of Henderson in Lake Las Vegas.

Thanks to everyone who expressed interest in doing this. Looking forward to having a great day!

Had a lot of fun, just wish I had more time to stay longer.
Found a movie clip an independent company was hired by Privateer Press to make a Movie of Level 7 Escape (see below for link). Also found out there is a sequel game coming out in the Fall Called Level 7, Omega Protocol. Also see link bellow to see the design team working with prototype rules. Movie: http://level7film.com

I can still make it if I get the address. Brad figured it out but I can't even find the latitude and longitude he mentions. Maybe this is a test...if you can't figure out the address you are not smart enough to play the games in this group. :)

    Never mind found it

Am I missing the directions or address to your place? The Map appears to only have latitude and longitude.

I'm down for this. My game collection isn't that big, but I make a pretty mean guacamole.

Cody, our group plays all sort of games from King of Tokyo to Puerto Rico, Carcassonne, Guillotine, Power Grid, etc.. So all the gamut from party to Eurogames and Ameritrash. We also have some Role Players but those don't happent during regular game night due to the time constraint. I'm sure you can find some pals to DM with. I like D&D, Paranoia and Shadowrun.

The Vegas Game Day group is mostly role-players, they meet once a month. They'd be a good group for you to check out too. :)

    • Cody Alexander M.

I've tried that group and mostly it was Pathfinder Society and dnd 4e which are both something I'm not interested in. Thank you for looking out for me though.

As far as Board games and Non CCG card games, I like "Starship Command" and have been dying to try "Level 7" and the reincarnated "Netrunner" (have both).

It can be heavy system. But is heralded as the first "Uni" system, even though it was released as a Superhero RPG in 1981 called Champions. It is very customizable system. And I mean very (unfortunately that's where the heavy-ness comes in at times). GURPS was not the first Generic RPG, this was, only they did it so you could get the right flavor out of it (Superhero, Fantasy, Cyberpunk, Horror, SCi-Fi, etc.). As a matter of fact they were so smart about it, that in its latest edition (7th), they have a "Less System, More Game" soft back version of the rules, for those that want to go light.

    January 25, 2013

    • Cody Alexander M.

I see, that sounds awesome, i'd love to play in Hero or GURPS but no one ever runs them.

      January 25, 2013

  • Brad H.

And I like The Hero Game System and Battlelords of the 23rd century (write for them too... Actualy I have a do date by end of next week). Miniatures wise, Heavy Gear Blitz and thinking about Dropzone Commander.

    January 25, 2013

    • Cody Alexander M.

I have never played the Hero Game System but i'd be willing to play.

      January 25, 2013

  • Cody Alexander M.

I am not a huge board game fan though, I prefer Pathfinder, Dungeons and Dragons and other types of tabletop games. I was just thinking maybe this group may include those and if they did my house is always available.

    January 25, 2013

  • David S.

I am totally down for this. I have a small collection of euro, ameritrash, and family games, as well as my own games which I have designed. I like a homey atmosphere, and can volunteer to bring snacks. :)

    January 25, 2013

  • David S.

Will be in NY that week. Looking forward to the next one! :)

    January 25, 2013

  • Trish W.

We are definitely "game." We live close to airport and have a great setup for games. We're fans of euro games like puerto rico, ticket to ride, settlers, etc.

    January 25, 2013

  • Brad H.

New to the group. Sounds good to me.

    January 25, 2013

  • Cody Alexander M.

Hey, I am new to the group but I have a fairly large house for meet ups. If people would be down for playing I could probably get things ready and host it here. I would just need to know the amount of people going in order to prepare really. Also, I prefer tabletop roleplaying games to chutes and ladders if that is a problem.

    Making something tasty!
