3rd Las Vegas halloween parade

Anyone want to join the parade, if so do we want to do a group costume (theme) or just meet up and walk. For those who want to see the parade and not walk the parade starts at 7:00 After party is at :3rd street between Ogden and stewart. The Las Vegas Halloween Parade is dedicated to the cultural and creative life of Las Vegas, and to the advancement of large-scale participatory events in the belief that such events, when artistically activated, can play a major role in the resurrection and rejuvenation of the City’s spirit, economy and the life of its citizenry. Radical inclusion: Anyone in costume (not advertising) is gladly welcomed and there are no prerequisites to people being part of The Las Vegas Halloween Parade (contact us to advertise or drive/move a large vehicle/large scale puppet). All participants are expected to provide for their own basic needs and follow the minimal rules of the event. If advertising, driving a vehicle or moving a large puppet/thing/sound system please email placement department and for commercial advertising contact us here.   Radical self-expression: Participants are encouraged to express themselves in a number of ways through various art forms and projects. Please NOTE: Nudity is not allowed on the Streets of Las Vegas, Masks and face paint are not allowed in the gambling areas of ALL CASINOS. Follow the laws and have fun.   Communal effort: Participants are encouraged to work with and help fellow participants.   Civic responsibility: Participants are encouraged and assume responsibility to be part of a civil society in which federal, state and local laws are obeyed and communicate this to other participants.   “Leave No Trace”: Participants are committed to a “Leave No Trace” event. They strive to leave the area around them in better condition than before their arrival to ensure that their participation does not have a long-term impact on the environment. Please do not throw candy or things to the crowd (especially from cars) as this leaves a mess, and kids could get hurt. People throwing items to the crowd will be asked to leave the parade.   Participation: The Las Vegas Halloween Parade is all about participation. Get involved, do something different, learn something new, have fun!   Immediacy: Participants are encouraged to become part of the event, to experience who and what is around them and to explore their inner selves and their relation to the event. (If these seem familiar to you, some citizens from Black Rock City are involved with making this possible- and we want to bring what we learned, home, to Las Vegas)
