Sharpening Your Photo Skills Weekend Workshop with Nat Geo Photog Raul Touzon

Raul Touzon has 9 years of teaching experience and 7 years of documentary experience working for National Geographic.

About the Workshop: A great next step after basic photography is learning how to use color, light, and composition to create outstanding images. We begin each day by editing and reviewing each other’s photographs. Visual lectures and demonstrations cover digital camera settings, accurate metering and exposure, and the rules of composition. Another important component of this workshop is its focus on the artistic use of light, with special emphasis on creative flash techniques. A final lecture on the basics of editing and sequencing your work rounds out your learning experience.

About The Teacher:  Born in Cuba, Raul Touzon is a documentary and underwater photographer who specializes in images that convey what he refers to “The Eternity of the Moment.” He has 7 years of documentary experience with National Geographic and 9 years of teaching experience.  He has held workshops around the world including Spain, Italy, Mexico and Ireland.

Raul has also traveled extensively in Latin America documenting its cultures while building an extensive collection of dramatic photographs which have been used in many corporate and editorial  publications including  National Geographic, Time and US News. http://www.touzonphoto.com

Do we need to bring anything? Is this class the same as advance flash class? Will we be working with flash photography? Thanks!

I have no words to say! It was GREAT!! Raul's teaching was detailed, intriguing, and mind opening. Raul’s teaching made me “think”, made me “slow down” to think, compose, and create my shot. Although it was tough but I love it. This workshop not only sharpen my photographic skills it gave me a different perspective to taking photos. What I love the most was Raul’s critique on our photos, he not only critique on our photos, he gave us pointers on how to make our same photos better. I have no words, I just love this workshop! I highly highly recommend this workshop to anyone that wants to take their photos to the next level. Challenge yourself to take this workshop and I promise you will gain an experience that is worth a lifetime.
