Sorry to miss you all. The rival group was great too, and John (who runs it) said that we'll try to avoid the clash happening again. He also mentioned this meetup to everyone assembled.
Looking forward to the next one.

Met some really great people last night. Great vibe, thanks for coming. :)
I'm looking to hire some developers to work on a project I'm involved with. If you're interested in a few months of work feel free to search me out for a drink and a chat tonight. I look forward to meeting you all

This is now definitely on the same date as the other London Django meetup - DJUGL http://www.djugl.org/item/622530
Not to put a spanner in the works, but should we reschedule? I'm going to head to DJUGL this time because it's on more rarely (actually it's because there's free pizza).

I tried to told you guys :)I'm going to DJUGL, because I also volunteer for a lightning talk there, so I won't be able to attend this event.

Meh, Craft Beer Co have great beer and good pork pies.
Can not see where you mentioned DJUGL decided to schedule on the same day, Andrea, but nevertheless there is plenty of room - after you've done your talk (and eaten the pizza) you should come over.
I can't find my message anymore :( I'm pretty sure also someone replied to me, but it doesn't matter.
Yeah, Andrea did mention along with my question: Andrea GrandiI've a question: are you related in any way to the DJUGL group http://www.djugl.org ?Because as far as I know they will organize another event on March 11th. I think it's a shame that there will be two Django events in the same city and in the same day :)
I will too join the DJUGL meeting first and if you guys are still in, I can join you just to say hi
Yeah, it would be good to reschedule, I'm going to DJUGL too.

Are you still looking for a venue? I can try to get some space at Google Campus.

Hi Celso, thanks for the message. I think we're going to give the Craft Beer Co a go this time - hopefully see you there.
Can anybody give me a definite date/time and is this meetup going to be organized, I would like to participate but I am unfortunately coming from another country but I'll be willing to adjust my airplane return dates in case this will be actually held, as I will be visiting UK at around that time.

Hi Bojan, the meetup is definitely going ahead on the 11Mar. I've already booked Cask but just waiting to hear back from James. I'll ping him again.

no, I'm not, can we make it on both of them?
By the way, I've just switch my tickets to march 12th so ill be there on the 11th ! Cya soon guys
So, how does everyone feel about Cask .
They have a range of locations, with the closest to the 'tech scene' located on leather lane (near Farringdon, Chancery Lane).
They have an upstairs area which seats about 40and *no* TVs.

This looks good - pinging you an email now :D
Looking for advice (& help) on how to bring back / on-shore a project which now needs additions & possibly repairs following what appeared to be reliable developer "suddenly" deciding to get married & spend an unknown period of time visiting temples!

Interested in meeting like minded people. See you there!
Hi everyone!I would like to attend, but on Tuesday 11th there will be another tube strike beginning at 21:30 so it would make it very difficoult for anyone to go back home. Why don't we move the meetup on Monday 10th?Cheers.
0 · February 7
Hi Andrea, the next tube strike is tomorrow 11th February - I suggested this meet-up for 11th March, next month. Hopefully this'll give us time to plan a venue and the tube disruption will have calmed down.
Oh sorry James, I confused the date :)
Do we want a pub w/ presentation or just a social place?
1 · February 7
Errr... a venue where we can hear each other chat would be great. Counting House has been too loud when we're in the main room. What do you think?
Any suggestions for an informal pub-like location in / around City of London welcome.
1 · January 31, 2014
Princess Alice on Commercial Street? Fairly quiet on weekdays. Also there is a pinball machine.
Of course, that's less a 'pub-like location', and more of a pub.
Hey James, good call!
I've been out of London lately and fully stacked. It has been a long time!I'll try and help this time. :)

I'm definitely up for this!

Thanks for the RT!
No problem James. There aren't enough Django and Python in London, I'm trying to do something about it :)

The London Django Meetup Group is a social meetup, we regularly hold a gathering the 2nd Tuesday of each month.
The meetups are an occasion for all, you don't have to be a veteran Django developer, although an interest in Django and web development is advisable. :)
Meetup notes will be collected on GitHub August 2014 onwards, if you have notes to add please send in a pull request. https://github.com/djangolondon/The-Django-...
PS: Sometimes Anand likes bringing delicious Django pony cakes... so be advised!
