I have been asked to do my Dulwich walk again but this time I am going to link it up with a number of new murals painted in the last two years. Dulwich Picture Gallery has been working with a number of street artists - some from the east end of London but also international artists - to bring together a series of outdoor art. Nearly all the works are based on 17th and 18th century paintings in the picture gallery. So we will take a walk, around 2 hours long, starting at East Dulwich station and finishing at West Dulwich station, visiting 13 murals. The meeting point is opposite East Dulwich station, next to the mural 'Girl at a window', at the corner of Grove Vale and Vale End. For those coming through central London, there are trains every 15 minutes from London Bridge. I will give a few minutes for late comers but will leave promptly at 1.15 pm. If you are late, turn right out the station and then right into Lordship Lane. At the end of the walk, we will go to the Alleyn's Head pub - named after the founder of Dulwich College - which is close to West Dulwich station where you can catch trains to London Victoria and Blackfriars.
