July MySQL Meetup - It's all about scaling (and HA)!

  • Jul 10, 2014 · 6:00 PM
  • Canonical Group Limited 5th Floor, Blue Fin Building

Don't forget to take your favourite term app and some good reading around MySQL when you pack your suitcase to go on holiday!

And if  you are short with ideas around MySQL, MariaDB and Percona, here are two great presentations that are a must-attend:

Andrew Morgan (Oracle/MySQL) - MySQL Fabric

Andrew will introduce the audience to the new released product from Oracle/MySQL, MySQL Fabric.

"MySQL Fabric is an extensible framework for managing farms of MySQL Servers".
If you want to come prepared, have a look at these pages.

Mark Riddoch (SkySQL/MariaDB) - MaxScale

Mark will present the newborn server from the MariaDB team, MaxScale.

"MaxScale is a database proxy that provides transparent communication between client applications and clusters of MySQL and MariaDB servers."

I hope to see you all on Thursday 10th of July!

It was good to see so many of you last week. The sneak preview I gave you of the binlog routing in MaxScale has now become public, a blog post about the motivation behind it will hopefully fill in the background a little.
Sorry I could not tell you more on Thursday.

Hopefully see you all at the next event

Hello guys, just saw the starting time, isn't it a bit early for those who will come after work? :S

Hi guys - we do not officially start at 6pm, we invite people to come by 6, we will have informal chats and drinks. We are likely to start between 6.30pm and 6.45pm (depending on chats and audience). I can see there are many new attendees, I should probably explain this...
