Come and see the interesting contrast between the Walthamstow Marshes and the industrial areas of Stratford or the oldest surviving working mill at Three Mills, Bow. We also walk very close to the Olympic stadium. We are walking along the River Lee from the station to Bow where we use the Limehouse Cut to the Limehouse Basin and if you like, finish with a drink in a historical riverside pub.
After a short walk we could visit a popular riverside cafe for refreshments but you are welcome to bring your own for a short lunch stop at Three Mills where there is a large Tesco with toilets and you could buy snacks. If anybody know the opening times of the cafe in Springfield Park we could get a coffee there instead of the busy riverside cafe.
Looking forward to seeing you all, particularly any new members.
