'AfterHours Lates' at the Natural History Museum

Howdee Safari Members!

Let's experience one of London's most unique Friday night's out. Come & enjoy the Natural History Museum & its exhibitions in the evening, meet new interesting people & start the weekend off with a glass of red!

It's free to attend 'AfterHours Lates', although some special exhibitions/events on the evening are ticketed (booked in advance).

What's on at 'AfterHours Lates' on 25 May 2012:

Scott's Last Expedition (£9 adults, £5.50 concessions)
Animal Inside Out Exhibition (£9 adults, £6 concessions)
Join the discussion event Displaying the Dead (Ticketed)
Dinosaur Gallery

I would also like to make time to either enjoy the new sharing menu in the Blue Bar while listening to Jazz in the Central Hall or relax over a glass of wine, beer or nibbles at the Red Bar in Dinosaur Way... this way we can really get to each-other. You may also like to visit the Museum shop.

Sign up now, it is set to be an exciting evening!

I'll probably go with the flow, Craig! see everyone in the Blue Bar, then maybe have a wander round at some point.

Regarding the 'Animal Inside Out Exhibition'... This needs to be booked in advance (£9 adults/£6 concessions). I suggest to call the Natural History Museum to find out timings [masked]).

If you are interested in this I either suggest booking it way before 19:30 to give you enough time to meet at the Blue Bar or after 20:30 to give us enough time to socialise at the Bar

I won't go to the exhibition as I am keen to relax and enjoy you guys at the Blue Bar. Let me know your thoughts?

Can you please all confirm your approx. arrival times? Can you please confirm that you are to meet me at the ‘Blue Bar’ for 19:30 with the view of purchasing a sharing platter or drinks? I want to make it as chilled as possible but I also need to make sure we are prepared! Thanks for your co-operation & I look forward to hearing from you, Craig

If this plan goes ahead, I would ideally like as many people to arrive on time at 19:30 otherwise I will not look good reserving a table in a busy bar but no one taking the seats/buying drinks or food.

Dear Safari Members, I hope you are all enjoying this beautiful weather?! Although the plan could change (as I need confirmation from the Natural History Museum), I plan to book up a table for 19:30 on Friday evening in the Blue Bar in the Central Hall. Here, they offer a sharing menu of 3 Mediterranean & British bowl platters, beer, wine, cocktails, & soft drinks: http://www.nhm.ac.uk/resources-rx/files/blue_bar_menu-107904.pdf

Hi Lena, Thks for asking. I'll give the museum a call tomorrow & work it out. I'll try to reserve a seat somewhere either at the Blue Bar or the Red Bar for 7:30pm
