I've visited vineyards in Chile, Argentina and New Zealand (and sherry houses in Spain), so I have a particular affiliation with these wine regions. I particularly love discovering new grapes, blends and different wine regions (such as Hungarian furmint/harslevelu). I've developed of love of NZ and German Rieslings, Gewürztraminers, Argentinian Torrontes, French chardonnays, Spanish albarinos, Viogniers, and particulars reds recently (pinot noirs and grenache/syrah blends), as well as a variety of dessert wines and ports. However, I'm always open to trying something new.
Burgundy, Champagne region, Loire valley, Alsace etc in France, Napa Valley in the U.S., Spain (for their albarinos), Italy and Germany for their rieslings (the list goes on)!
Wine and champagne tastings and pairings. Anything to learn more..
My name is Helena and I'm interested in learning more about wine in general and discovering different grapes, blends and regions.
