Yes, my dog definitely carries his own water. He drinks too much for me to really hike with him if I had to carry all of it. Unfortunately, I didn't get a picture of the Baldy marker when we were up there on Saturday. It was too cold and windy and no one was standing out long enough to even take a picture for me!

Venetian Siren The Long Beach Off-Hours Outdoors Group

Due to schedule stuff I can't make Baldy. Have a great hike. My friends and I did Saddle Pass on Jan 1 and it was pretty cool! Not at all a hike you can rest on your laurels on...and there were patches of ice and snow at higher and lower elevations. The parts where there was frozen over snow were dangerous because of the level of exposure and the very narrow trail. just an fyi. people should bring walking poles, sticks and for me, i know I will be bringing some kind of cramp on device.
