Polish Day in Long Beach!!

** NON-HOSTED EVENT **

The Consulate General of the Republic of Poland in Los Angeles announces and invites everyone to attend Polish Day in Long Beach, organized by many people of
good will and Polish community organizations - Saturday, June 14th, 2014 from 2.00 pm to 10.00 pm, Linden Avenue, Long Beach, CA 90802.

Come with your loved ones, family and friends to enjoy Polish music, delicious treats, good beer, and fun for the whole evening. There will be not only entertainment but also craft booths with something for everybody to make.
Wycinanki (traditional multi-color cut-outs), malowanki (folk painting on egg shells), and many surprising crafts will be presented. Even a small Fashion Show! There will be a bookstore, a quick class to learn basic Polish phrases,
and much more.

For those interested in history and culture, the organizers will provide film documentaries about Poland, and there will be an exhibition of Polish works of art.

Polish Winged Hussars' traditional armor will be there to impress with its creativity and craftsmanship – you definitely want to take a photo here.

That’s not all! All evening long the Polka, Oberek and Polonez dance classes will be offered. Yes, the friendly instructors will be waiting for new brave students.

Fun, entertainment and a professional atmosphere is the goal here. Over 15 Polish-California institutions and Organizations, including the Polish Consulate will be working hard to make sure everyone has a great time!

A dance party will be the grand finale of the night. Along with the latest Polish hits, and great dancers (by this time) you will be having a blast!

Organizers look forward to meeting you all at the Polish Day in Long Beach.
They also look for energetic volunteers to make the Polish Day in Long Beach
happen!

It was fun sure great people .....great dance but food was not that great for that price. The bigos wasn't that great that's what I ordered and the portion was terribly small. It should be more Polish cuisines !

FANTASTIC!!! Had fun every minute we were there. Great entertainment, food and information. Hope this continues in the future (and more than once a year would be fine by me)!

Hi Zandra, this is my first time at this particular venue too so hard to tell where the best place is to gather but if there is a beer hall, I'm sure many will be there! ; ) will try and let you know the general whereabouts via this sight provided wifi is cooperating.

We are planning on going! This will be our first Polish Group meetup, We do not know anyone yet, so please keep a look out for us. We are hoping to be there by 3 PM or earlier. Both my daughter, Rachel, and I will attend. We will probably have our hair in ponytails due to the warm temps. Hope to meet some of you tomorrow!

    June 5

    • Andrzej

Hi Sharon, It's an eight hour event so would be tough to establish a time that works for most people, plus everyone will likely wonder to their points of interest at the festival. But keep an eye open for those going. I will likely be there by three. See you there!

I decided to start Reno Motorcycle Riders Group because I wanted to be part of a group of people who enjoyed my passion... I was excited and nervous. Our group has grown by leaps and bounds. I never thought it would be this big.
