IT'S FINALLY HERE!!!!

 

So excited to announce the next meetup! This one is special and near and dear to my heart because the menu will be Venezuelan inspired... like myself :). We will have such a fun evening diving into the culture of Venezuela through are hearts and taste buds. Check out what's in store this Sunday!

THE MENU

 

Arepas with Variety of Fillings and Guasacaca Sauce

A staple in Venezuela, arepas are savory corn flour cakes stuffed with an array of different fillings. We will be making them from scratch! Nothing better in my book then a steaming hot fresh arepa filling the air with that yummy corn aroma. We will make a variety of fillings ranging from a soyrizo mushroom filling to a black bean and vegan cheese filling. You will be able to truly make it your own. You will also learn the traditional guasacaca sauce that is the queen of sauces in Venezuela. It's an avocado based sauce that is the perfect addition to our arepas.


Tostones

These are super yummy fried plantains that always make the best accompaniment to any meal. If you have had them you know, if you haven't get ready to love them!


Salad

One of my favorite salads because of the subtle tropical influence. It is a bright and fresh salad with mango, avocado, pickled red onion, cilantro and other wonderful flavors on top of a bed of butter lettuce topped with our homemade agave lime vinaigrette.

 

Avocado Chocolate Mousse

WHAT?!?! Sounds crazy but let me tell you this is so good! You'll learn how to make a quick and delicious and healthy alternative to a traditional chocolate mousse and still have the satisfaction of mousse. Chocolate mousse was my all time favorite dessert before I went vegan so I have been on a mission to perfect a mousse that would give the same satisfaction :)

 

And to drink we will have a fresh fruit spritzers! (non-alcoholic)
