25% OFF - Wild Food Gastronomy/Tasting Class

Sorry for the short notice but I still have a few opening for my wild food gastronomy class this Sunday so if anyone is interested, hurry up and sign up.

Usual cost is $40, meetup members can get in with $30. Only 5 spots available. This is happening at hahamonga. The first place of the class will be a SLOW foraging walk (it's so hot right now!), we'll go in a different part of the park and look/forage for various wild plants such as Lambsquarters, Mugwort, White Sage, Curly Dock, Wild Radishes and much more.

The walk will be around an hour. Then we'll come back to where we started and we'll have a table all setup with food and things to do. We'll make some Lambsquarter Pesto and Manzanita Cider with Manzanita berries.

On the menu this weekend we have:

Curly Dock Vegetarian Sushi with Wild Food Kimchi and Elderberry Sauce

Various wild food samplings such as: Pickled Yucca, Black Walnuts, Wild Radish pods, etc... and hummus

WILD PLANTS BEER SAMPLING! Yes, you'll have a small taste of Pascal's new creations: Mugwort and White Sage Beer based on 500 years old recipes (Gluten free too!)

Mia will have an interesting Mugwort Beer Ice Cream!

A fondue with Curly Dock Pretzels and more...

What to bring: BRING WATER!!!!!!!!!!! and more WATER!!!!!!!!!!!!! It's going to be HOT!

Sun protection (Sun creme / Hat/ Etc...)

Paper/pen if you want to take some notes

Taking photos can be a good idea too

Long pants are also a good idea, there are some prickly plants here and there.

Bags for the wild food you'll be collecting.

Here is a good map for the meetup:
