Let's go to Hollywood!
Join us for a light foraging walk where we identify winter foraging finds such as Mallow, Black Mustard, Fennel, Nettles, Chickweed and more…
I’ve barely explored this area so maybe we’ll find have some surprises as well. After our hike, we’ll sit down and I'll share some of my gourmet wild food preserves (maybe some fresh dish as well) and if I have the time I’ll make some wild food goat cheese and I think I can make fresh Dijon style mustard on location with wild mustard.
Bring water, sunscreen, a foraging bag, as well as a gardening knife or pocket knife to harvest the plants.
Location is: Bronson Park in Hollywood.
From Franklin Avenue take Canyon drive. The intersection is located where Gelson’s Market is. Drive toward the hills on Canyon drive for 2-3 minutes and enter the park. You will pass some children playgrounds and right after that there is a parking area.
Park your car there.
