Foraging Seeds / Making Primitive Breads and Crackers with Wild Seeds










When it gets dry in Los Angeles, it's a good time to gather seeds.

So let's make wild breads and crackers!

During the first part of the workshop we'll go on a wild food foraging walk and collect various edibles plants and seeds.

Back to the meeting point, we'll use similar seeds to what we collected and I will show you the process I use to make "wild" breads and crackers. If possible, we'll make some bread on location and cook it too.

I'll bring some wild food salsa (made with purslane) for the crackers and various breads incorporating wild aromatic spices. This should be a fun workshop!

    Really another dimension on what could be done with wild edible plants. Much preparation was put into this class, and it showed. I'd rate it amazing!

    Pascal brought samples of ingredients for baking and shared them with us. We went on a walk to see the plants and collect a some seeds, then had a wonderful picnic lunch under the oaks dining on Pascal and Mia's original and very delicious crackers and breads, with wild food salsa and white sage iced tea. Excellent experience and knowledge!
