Sponsorship

A group discussion for how best to attract and manage sponsorship. Ideas for who to approach, what to pitch to the potential sponsors, how long the sponsorship should last, does a sponsor get access to the mailing list or just a promo opportunity at the meetings. Issues related to tax, liability and other details could also be of interest.

That was a very useful session, espically more so for me as I'm new to meetup as an organiser. I'm keen to find out what works and does n't work, e.g. is it worth placing a limit on your attendee list, so to encourage a quicker response from members? Sometimes, its useful to know exactly how many members can commit to a meetup, where you are reserving a room or area in a venue.

The size was just perfect; I like the connection made and possible joint venture. Meet up organizers should consider partnering with other organizers to create a new vibe for members. There is so much to learn from other organizers.

Very useful session - small enough to allow for plenty of interaction and sharing of ideas
