January 27th Euchre Meetup at Mickey's Tavern

Hi All! Thanks to all who braved the cold January chill to come to the last meetup. And thanks to Karl for the cheese curds! Based on the recommendation of one of our members, we're going to try a new eastside location--Mickey's Tavern. So scrap off the windshield and come on out and join us!

Was another fun night. Great group of people. Location was not very nice though--hard to find parking, crowded, drafty, poor lighting (red lights in one room made it hard to see the hearts & diamonds)...

My first outing with this group was a lot of fun. I appreciated the location, close to my house.

This was my second time and I enjoyed it very much. You get to still meet new
people and everyone is very nice. I love Euchre so 3 hours gives me plenty of
    time to enjoy it.

Very fun! I almost didn't want to leave when it was over.

We probably should have scouted this location before deciding to hold an event here. It was very crowded and dark. Not really conducive to playing cards. Beyond that, things went well and people had fun.

I agree on parking and possibly a bit cramped. But that really depends on the turnout. If we're expecting more people, then larger venues need to be chosen. All together it was a fun time. I like Bryan's comment on a more structured meetup, but maybe we do that every other time, or a risk becomes making the meetup more competitive than social.

I always enjoy playing cards but this was the worst choice for a place to get the group together. And why are we still not playing with a time limit to the games? We will never be able to rotate tables like you want unless we limit the playing time for each game. 15 minutes for each game and the team with the most points wins (no limit to the point system)...simple as that. Then all the losers stand up and move to the next table.

No parking poor lighting and cramped. Good job organizing as usual though.
