Announcing a new Meetup for The Madison Raw Food Meetup Group!

What: Raw Potluck at Wingra Park on Wednesday, August 11 at 5:30 PM

When: Wednesday, August 11 beginning at 5:30 PM

Where: Wingra Park

For complete details and to RSVP for this potluck: http://www.meetup.com/The-Madison-Raw-Food-Meetup-Group/calendar/14279677/

Weather permitting, we will be meeting at Wingra Park for the first August potluck on Wednesday, August 11 beginning at 5:30 PM. Wingra Park is located at at 700 Knickerbocker Street, just off of Monroe Street behind Michael's Custard (map here: http://maps.google.com/maps?hl=en&ie=UTF-8&q=wingra+park+madison+WI&split=1 ). The park has restroom facilities and playground equipment for the kids. We will try to get the picnic tables close to the water, but consider bringing lawn chairs or blankets if you have them and are able, in case the picnic tables aren?t available. Regardless of where we meet, you will be able to find us by looking for the pair of plastic pink flamingoes!

And while we won?t be specifically organizing any group canoeing or kayaking activities, that is always a possibility beforehand at the park with rentals from Wingra Boats http://www.wingraboats.com/

If anyone is willing to host in the event that the weather is bad, please contact David (and the information for this potluck will be updated accordingly). Otherwise, should the weather be bad - that is, if it is raining and/or muddy or the temperature is below 60 degrees - the potluck will be cancelled. Check our message board (which will have my contact information, should you need it) as well as this posting for this potluck on the day of the potluck for a final weather decision.

Here?s hoping for fine weather for an evening of dining together by the lake!

David
