New Meetup: Raw Potluck at Tenney Park Beach on Wednesday, September 15 at 5:30 PM

From: David

Announcing a new Meetup for The Madison Raw Food Meetup Group!

What: Raw Potluck at Tenney Park Beach on Wednesday, September 15 at 5:30 PM

When: Wednesday, September 15, 2010 beginning at 5:30 PM

Where: Tenney Park Beach

Weather permitting, the beach at Tenney Park will again be the location for the potluck on Wednesday, September 15. It will be great to take advantage of that great location once more while the weather is still warm (and it was nice to see so many coming by bike for the last potluck at Tenney Park Beach!). The park has restroom facilities and playground equipment for the kids. We will try to get the picnic tables close to the water, but consider bringing lawn chairs or blankets if you have them and are able, in case the picnic tables aren?t available. Regardless of where we meet, you will be able to find us by looking for the pair of plastic pink flamingoes!

Please note: while the street address for Tenney Park itself as given on the city parks website is 1414 East Johnson (here: ) to drive to the beach and the beach parking lot you will turn from East Johnson onto Baldwin (heading toward Lake Mendota), take a quick right onto Sherman Avenue, and then a quick left into the beach parking lot. A .pdf format map from the city parks website listing for Tenney Park showing these streets can be downloaded here:

If anyone is willing to host in the event that the weather is bad, please contact David (and the information for this potluck will be updated accordingly). Otherwise, should the weather be bad - that is, if it is raining and/or muddy or the temperature is below 60 degrees - the potluck will be cancelled. Check our message board (which will have my contact information, should you need it) as well as this posting for this potluck on the day of the potluck for a final weather decision.

Complete details/RSVP to this Meetup:

Here?s hoping for fine weather for another evening of dining together by the lake!
