New Meetup: Fruit! - a Raw Potluck at Hoyt Park on Wednesday, June 23 at 5:30 PM

Announcing a new Meetup for The Madison Raw Food Meetup Group!

What: Fruit! - a Raw Potluck

When: Wednesday, June 23, 2010 starting at 5:30 PM

Where: Hoyt Park

Hoyt Park will again be the location for our potluck on Wednesday, June 23 at 5:30 PM, weather permitting. The park has shelters, restroom facilities, trails for hiking, and playground equipment for the kids. More information about this city park - including driving directions - can be found on the park?s website: . If no one has reserved the upper, easily visible shelter for that day we will meet there, otherwise we will use picnic tables elsewhere on the lawn. Regardless of where we meet, you will be able to find us by looking for a pair of bright pink plastic flamingoes!

This potluck will take place rain or shine. Sonya - who lives on Madison?s west side close to the Whitney Way exit of the Beltline - has generously offered to host the potluck if the weather is bad (namely if it is raining and/or muddy or the temperature is below 60 degrees). Please check our message board (which will have Sonya?s address and driving directions as well as my contact information, should you need it) as well as this posting for this potluck on the day of the potluck for a final location/weather decision. Thanks, Sonya!

Sonya suggests that we have a fruit theme for this potluck. Bring anything you wish, but with the warmer weather it would be fun to have a lot of fruit-based creations. We did this last year and tried some unusual exotic fruits and shared lots of delicious fruit dishes.

Complete details for this potluck can be found here:

Here?s hoping for fine weather for an evening of al fresco dining! See you there!
