The Madison Raw Food Meetup Group Message Board › Raw Night Specials at The Green Owl Cafe, Thursday, February 14th
On Thursday, November 8th, we will have the following prix fixe meal, all prepared by Chef Cara:
Salad: Strawberry Avocado salad over spinach with a Chocolate Fig Balsamic Vinaigrette topped with and crushed pecans.
Soup: Hazelnut Chocolate Soup- fresh infusion of hazelnuts and cacao with young coconut cream with fennel and orange, garnished with fennel fronds and crushed pink peppercorns.
Small Plate: Bittersweet cacao and savory herb pecan stuffed mushrooms topped with crisp “bacon” and accompanied by a sweet chocolate thyme chutney, sprinkled with coarse Himalayan pink salt.
Entree: Pineapple steaks with chocolate mesquite BBQ, served with Cajun spiced sweet potato puree and chili-key lime cucumber salsa fresca with fresh mint.
Dessert: Rosemary vanilla bean cheesecake in a chocolate hazelnut crust and topped with smooth chocolate ganache served with smashed strawberries.
This entire menu will be offered as a prix fixe only for $25. (We are no longer offering the a la carte option.)
Also, we want to be able to provide diners with the raw creations that they are expecting. Due to popularity of Raw Night we have sold out early in the past. We encourage making reservations for Raw Night no later than the Tuesday before Raw Night. Thank you!
We usually offer a fresh juice as well, available as a cocktail.
