Introduction

I'm a retired IT Professional. I self-published a memoir in 2008, and I'm currently working on a novel.

How did you find out about the group?

I followed a link from the NC Writer's Network to another meetup group to this one.

What are you hoping to get out of joining the group?

I'm looking for a group of writers who provide support and honest critique.

Are you willing to commit to regular attendence at the meetings?

I probably won't be able to attend every month due to other commitments, but I expect to be able to come 6 - 8 times per year.

What would you like for other members to know about you?

I spent 30-something years working in information technology. In another previous life I was a proof-reader for a Wall Street law firm. I have been retired for over 10 years, and travel as much as health and budget allow.

What is your genre and are you a published author?

I published a memoir in 2008, _Motherless Child - stories from a life_. I'm currently working on a mystery, adventure, romance about an internet relationship gone bad.

There were only five of us at this meeting. I understand they usually have a larger attendance. The founder/leader works hard to help us develop our craft.
