The Marketing Brew - Brainstorming Your Marketing Challenge

What is it?

A combination of beer, food, and a brainstorming session that can address your marketing challenge.

Who should come?

Anyone with the responsibility of marketing a business or organization.

What should I expect?

The brainstorming is complimentary; you order your own brew.  We vote for the top 2-4 marketing challenges offered by individuals, and put our heads together to give them some actionable ideas.

How does the brainstorming work?

Small groups are formed for each of the selected challenges.  They have 20 minutes of structured discussion to analyze the details of the challenge. Thoughts are recorded on a flipchart paper.

The groups rotate to each marketing challenge and refine the ideas offered by the prior groups.  This is repeated until all challenges are addressed by all groups.

At the end, each representative of the challenge shares to the group their action plan based on recommendations received. They point out which group they felt did the best job assisting them.

Marguerite Inscoe facilitates the brainstorming process and provides her advice throughout session.

WIIFM?

A fun time, exposure to great marketing ideas and resources, a chance to connect with other local business people, and possibly - a viable strategy for your biggest marketing challenge.

Disclaimer:  None of the advice given by the group or Marguerite is guaranteed to better anyone’s business. The person who uses any of the advice does so at their own discretion and they are responsible for any outcomes including financial losses or gains.

FYI to those who RSVP but don't show up, the restaurant loses out when they reserve the whole room for us and then there are only a few people there and ordering things. We might not be able to keep meeting there if the turn our continues to be low. It's hard to find places to meet for free. (they normally charge $500 for the room.)

Had a great time (as usual)! Glad to have Tina join us. Not sure what happened to Shawnette, Jerome, Trent, Marlo and Michael?

Well, I consider LinkedIn a "poor person's website!" You can leverage your contacts and their contacts. This includes connecting your contact's, contacts to add to your network. Posting to your contacts could help, in this case, the sales of your book that you contributed to. Hope you have an excellent day!

Marketing Brew tonight was great, but you did not have me attending??? Very good info tonight on Lisa's entry in the book. To add, I would outreach the book through your contacts, in particular, LinkedIn.

This is my first time. Is there a fee?

    1 · February 10

    • Lisa

No, Tina. No fee. We get a few free apps from GB, but you can also order food and beverage if you want.

    Will be a little late.

I meant to +1 in my RSVP. Since the event is now closed, will it be okay for me to bring a guest?

    February 10

    • Marguerite I.

No problem Shawnette. Please do bring a guest!

Hey everyone, I am really looking forward to the Brew this evening.

I'd like to point out that historically show rates for this meet-up event aren't very good, about 50%. I understand, Mondays can turn into some really long days.

Those who do come always have a blast and learn something really helpful, but I am always sorry that more don't make it.

This event is on a Monday is to give us a kick-start to the week. We have fun, enjoy the networking, but are also seriously focused on building the businesses we support.

This only happens once a month. GB kicks in free apps and gives us our own room. If our attendance is good, we can keep doing this. If it's not...well why bother.

Thank you to the faithful, and I hope I didn't scare any new folks. Make your RSVP count and I'll see you shortly!
