For anyone on the fence about this Thursday's meetup at TGI Fridays (@ 6:30pm, Feb 16th, 2012), I'll be bringing along a special guest skeptic from Denmark. It's his first trip to the U.S. and while never having taken part in skeptical movement activities before, compared to the U.S., most Danes would qualify as skeptics whether they identify themselves as such or not - It's a very secular and well educated place. (At least in the urban capital, the limit of my own experience.)
Though that doesn't stop Scientologists from setting up a large headquarters in downtown Copenhagen. Even there stupidity can find a foothold. The differences and similarities can be amazingly enlightening.
Hope more of you can join us and show the Danes we Americans aren't all like our TV and movies depict us. :)

We get together to discuss various topics in science and skepticism. Anything from recent science news to rants about the latest paranormal or pseudoscience scams. We are also considering some field trips to local museums and events. Everyone is welcome.
