Permablitz 139 Thornbury

Check this out on Facebook at Permablitz Melbourne.

On the day we aim to: construct 2 wicking wooden pallet planter boxes and a screen in front of an outdoor bath, connect up 2 water barrels to service the planter boxes, transplant a small native tree and a small fig, cut back non indigenous trees and mulch the pruningsand spread on ground. We will plant out herbs and vegetables in the planter boxes and large pots. Also to fix water run off by cutting off a down pipe and replacing with chain. In the front we want to put in a small path out of pavers and plant out some flowers.

Workshops: constructing planter boxes and worm tower, possibly pruning apple tree and grafting plum tree.

Lunch provided.

Tools: bring spades and forks and small digging trowels if you have them, chain saw, pruning shears and large secateurs for tree cutting.

Great, plenty of people and weather was almost perfect. Didn't get everything done but it was pretty ambitious anyway

I've sent you all a message. Please don't bring a + 1 to this event because I have a lot of people coming thru Permablitz Melbourne as well.

The before shot is already compromised as some chain sawing happened today while I was out. Damn but it's been pretty hectic getting ready so can't be helped.

    Thanks,

    Sheryl

We just grab a coffee and speak French. Some people have been coming every week for months... it creates a kind of warmth to the group.
