Christmas feta workshop

-Saturday 14 Dec., 10am-3pm

Do you want to impress your friends at Christmas time by serving them a cheese you made yourself? At this full day, hands-on workshop you will learn how to make your own yummy salty feta (and get to take it home with you). In addition, Janet Clayton from Cheeselinks will teach you how to create great Christmas gifts - a gourmet style, herb marinated feta, which will probably have your friends placing orders for more!

COST: $160, includes lunch.

IMPORTANT!  You must book and pay through the Eco Centre.

$160 per person, for 5 hours, with no refunds.
And, that is not even individual tuition.

    I make cheese by accident.

I just pour milk into a container, like a stainless-steel, cooking pot, put the glass lid on, and leave the milk to itself, at room temperature.
    The milk first goes sour.
    Then very sour.
Then eventually separates out into curds [cheese] and whey.
    Which are then sweeter.

And, since I use skim-milk, the cheese is a very healthy, salt-free, nonfat cheese.

[You can also stir wholemeal flour, into either sour milk or whey, to make a quick sourdough.]

If anyone wants to provide a venue, I can show you how to make yoghurt, whey, cheese – for free.
With no equipment other that a normal stainless-steel, cooking pot and glass lid.
I do not even have a refrigerator – which is how I came to make cheese by accident.
