Volunteers Wanted for Mullum Mullum Festival, April 20/21 and 27/28

The Mullum Mullum Festival celebrates the environmental and cultural heritage of the Mullum Mullum Valley in 4–day festival. http://mullummullumfe... This year the event will take place on the 20th, 21st, 27th and 28th of April.

We are looking for enthusiastic environmentalists to be official Mullum Mullum Festival representatives at the Walks & Talks, Presentations and one Bike-ride of the next Mullum Mulllum Festival for the dates of 27 and 28 April. We have a number of experts in their fields who give up their time to each share their knowledge with participants.

There will be roughly 20 events, and unfortunately the committee members cannot cover all of them.

The role would involve accompanying a walk or being present at a presentation in an official capacity, and would include:

· Welcoming the presenter/walk leader,

· In the case of a presentation, ensuring that equipment (computer/projector etc) works and is compatible with the material the presenter has brought.

· ensuring that all participants have filled out the Sign-on sheet,

· collecting the $2 coins,

· introducing the walk leader/presenter to the participants.

· ensuring that everything runs smoothly during the walk/presentation

· assisting the walk leader/presenter if needed

· dealing with “emergencies”

· At the end of the walk/presentation: publicly thanking the walk leader/presenter and presenting them with a small gift on behalf of the MMF committee.

· Then – at some stage – handing over the collection tin and sign-on sheet.

Students who are willing to be a “presentation/walk accompanier”, will be put in contact with the walk leader before the festival, so that they can get some information about both the presentation/walk and the walk leader which they can use in their introduction to the participants.
