Matching Italian Cheeses & Mornington Peninsula Pinot

The Morning Peninsula has a typical Mediterranean climate, with mild winters and warm summers. The Pinot from this area is becoming a real contender to the European Pinot, both Noir and Gris/Grigio.
We will match the Pinot from one of the best Pinot winery, Nazaary Winery, to few Italian cheeses. The wine maker will take us through the different years of the Pinot production, he will explain the difference between the Pinot Gris (French style) and the Pinot Grigio (Italian style), he will go through the wine making process.
Each cheese will be introduced with a bit of history and the making process, to create a full context

At 6pm the night starts with appetizers and a Prosecco on arrival. Then taste your way through 6 cheeses and 6 Pinot of which
2 fresh cheeses and 2 Pinot Gris (09 and 10)
4 aged cheeses and 4 Pinot Noir (07, 08, 09 and 10)
A warm, cozy, friendly and informative night. Rate your best Pinot and you can win a bottle in the final raffle.

Night tasting price: $69 (a deposit of $30 is required on booking). Link below

It was lovely to organise the Matching and Tasting night. I met quite a number of new people, which was fantastic. Looking forward to join other meetup events, this time without the organisation stress :D

I started the group because there wasn't any other type of group like this. I've met some great folks in the group who have become close friends and have also met some amazing business owners.
