Jam in Kingtowne (Alexandria), Va 22315

Guitar. Voice, etc.

Bring your Banjo's. Bring your bongo's. Bring some peanut butter and let's JAM!

Musicians and music lovers come out next Saturday June 29th to the courtyard in Kingstowne shopping center. There's a few nice places to gather and make some music.

The Kingstowne shopping center is located in a cozy little suburb in Alexandria, Va. There is plenty of parking- 4 level parking garage; large parking lot in front and in back of shopping center.

There is a large courtyard where families, couples and people of all walks of life congregate. It's an ideal place for music magic to happen. If not, there is a lake right behind the shopping center with a lovely gazebo that would also be perfect.

Hey Michael, good to meet you. I enjoyed the meet up with you and Jeff. It was fun just the three of us! Jeff, you inspired me to get a Djembe drum (did I spell that correctly!) .. I enjoyed switching back and forth with you.

PS: My wife would shoot me if we put out a hat!! LOL

Thanks for coming out yesterday. I had a great time and I think the crowd really liked Sympathy for the Devil. Next time we should put down a hat!

Seriously I"ve got some pretty basic songs picked out and am willing to coach you through it. I spent two hours the last time with a beginner and he had a great time! Thats the most important thing, that you have fun & feel involved.

can I bring an electric? Is there any electricity

    June 28, 2013

    • Michael

Aiden, sorry no electricity but you can still jam with us. If you have a portable battery operated amp that would work. I'm going electric and using a roland microcube

To really get our groove on make some song suggestions beforehand, otherwise we'll spend a lot of time gazing at our shoes. haha. My recommendation is to keep it simple that way everyone can be involved. I would hate for anyone to feel excluded and want everyone to have a great time!
